Feedbrake
Feedbrake blocks infinite short-video feeds (TikTok, Instagram Reels and Home, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels) on your phone. It is built so that no personal data leaves your device.

Feedbrake uses it only to recognise when one of the supported apps is showing an infinite feed, to place a shield over that feed, to pass your taps through to the app, and to handle the volume keys while a feed is blocked. The service reads the structure of the screen (element types, ids and positions) of the supported apps only while protection is active. It does not read your messages, does not record the screen, does not log what you type and does not store or send any screen content. This use is disclosed in the app before you enable the service, and the service only works after you give consent.
You can export these settings, import them or delete the statistics in Settings at any time. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
The only network request is an optional daily download of the public detection rules from raw.githubusercontent.com/dragos-catalin/unscroll-rules. The file is cryptographically signed and is checked before use. The request contains no identifiers beyond what any HTTPS request carries (IP address, seen by GitHub). You can turn it off in Settings.
github.com/dragos-catalin/unscroll-rulesIf you have Android backup turned on, your settings and counters are included in your own Google backup, encrypted by Android. Feedbrake has no access to that backup.
No account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no selling or sharing of data, no data collected about children. The app does not collect any data as defined by Google Play's Data safety section.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
